The AMR Crisis & The One Health Solution
Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) is estimated to cause approximately 1.27 million deaths annually, with projections rising up to 10 million per year by 2050. Low- and middle-income countries bear the highest burden, with Nigeria having the 185th highest age-standardized AMR mortality rate globally (64,500 deaths directly attributable in 2019).
Addressing AMR requires an integrated, multi-sectoral approach combining human, animal, plant, and environmental health data under the One Health Framework. Supported by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH), this 3-day Kolleg aims to bridge academia, policy, and practice to strengthen Nigeria's National Action Plan (NAP 2.0).

Multi-sectoral delegates are encouraged to submit abstracts and register.
